KindaSound Youth Radio is Partnering with KindaSound Radio and The missing Kind Charity to create a training programme for a youth-led radio station, supporting young people aged 12 to 25 to produce and present their own radio shows, podcasts and videos. Our mission is to build confidence and self-esteem, and learn skills in a safe and poisitive environment that fosters their ability to make new friends and be part of a growing global community.
Our ethos is to support young people to be the best versions of themselves through authenticity, acceptance, and supporting to create realistic goals and aspirations. We celebrate everyone's unique qualities and individuality, creating positive change for our youth.
Young people will have the opportunity to host their own shows in a mobile studio environment, exploring their diverse tastes in music, and allowing for the exploration of topics that are relevant to them. They wll have the opportunity to work in small groups, individually and with the support of our coaches. They will be able to get involved in all aspects of the station, including song selection, show scheduling, sound engineering, presenting, social media, podcast editing and music/jingle creation.
After the course, they will have the opportunity to become part of our Youth Panel, ensuring that young people's voices are being heard. They will also have the opportunity to assist KindaSound Radio as a presenter, interviewer, researcher, audio engineer, content creator, blog contributor, social media copywriter, fundraiser and more.
