If you are a fan of nuts- you are not nuts 😊 don’t worry. In fact, you probably know that a handful of them a day support the apparent function of the body and neutralize the maximum of negative effects of other things. Nuts contain important proteins, unsaturated fats, minerals, vitamins, as well as omega-3.

The walnuts are so rich in nutrients that they can easily be defined as one of the most affordable superfoods!

Only with 1/4 of a cup (or about 7 walnuts) we get almost all the omega-3 fatty acids we need for the day. But the walnuts are also rich in vitamin E, which has a good effect on heart health, B vitamins, as well as phytonutrients that are not found in any other member of the plant world, and which have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

They contain so many different vitamins and minerals that even a handful of them are enough to protect you until the next basic meal. Some of the most important nutrients found in the walnuts are:

  • omega-3 fatty acids
  • polyunsaturated fats
  • phenols
  • vitamin E

These useful nuts help the body to react in a natural way and help to overcome stress more quickly.

Walnuts provide the body with a large number of antioxidants, which is essential for the fight against the free radicals in the body. This is why the regular consumption of walnuts can significantly improve your health. Stable protection against degeneration of the brain a protective measure and a prevention of Alzheimer’s. In addition, omega-3 fatty acids are extremely useful, as well helpful to increase focus and attention.

And while the actual nuts are good for our health the hard walnut shells are even better. So do not be in a hurry to bin them.

The hard walnut shell is actually well known for its healing properties especially helpful as side care for duodenal and gastric ulcer, cough, and to clear cysts and tumors and other tumor formations.

Here's a simple recipe or how to use the walnuts' hard shells:

  1. Clip 6 Walnuts and remove the thin inner parts, which separate the nuts under the cap
  2. Fill only them with half a liter of boiling water
  3. Leave the container for a while until the water removes the beneficial substances from the non-corrosive internal parts of the walnuts
  4. Once completely cooled, strain and add 100 ml of milk

Drink three sips of the prepared mixture before going to sleep. Drink this amount half an hour before every meal every day, until the prepared amount is gone. People, who admitted for 14 days from the opening, claim that they have cured their stomach ulcers.

The hard walnut shells are also used in treatment of cysts

  1. Wash and crush 14 walnuts
  2. Separate the nuts from the shells and crush the shells up to a flour textured mix
  3. Mix the fine crushed shells flour with half a liter of vodka (for countries like Bulgaria, most commonly the alcohol used for this recipe is Raki or Grappa)
  4. Leave for 21 days in a dark dry place in a closed glass container

Take one tablespoon ten minutes before sleeping, or in the morning half an hour before your first meal which will clear the malignant formations in your body – this is an old recipe that passed the test of time thru generations.

Almost all parts of the Walnut plant are used for healing - walnut leaves have been used in medicine since ancient times, to strengthen the body, excite the appetite and enhance the growth of the skeletal system. Walnuts protect against anemia, kidney stones and thyroid disease, as they contain a lot of iodine, especially if they are very fresh.

September (in Europe) is the month when you can get them fresh from the walnut trees and support your body and mind with the amazing healing properties the walnuts offer us.
