      By Adi Andreva

      · recipes,wellbeing,health

Turmeric has long been used and highly valued for its healing properties, but unfortunately we still don't use it that often. "Golden" milk is the best way to change this, as each glass of this soothing drink carries a dose of the "spice of life".

Turmeric offers countless benefits and this is one of the reasons why people in India call it the 'spice of life'.

Both Ayurveda and Chinese medicine have used this spice to treat skin problems, muscle fever, joint pain, wound healing, liver and respiratory ailments. The benefits of turmeric are well-documented, and curcumin, its biologically active component, has been proven by scientists to promote health and prevent various diseases. In fact, it contains more than 150 therapeutic activities, such as strong anti-cancer, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

"Golden milk" is an extremely nutritious and healthy drink offering many health benefits. Among them are:

      • prevents liver damage

      • protects against fibrosis and lung toxicity

      • stimulates the secretion of bile

      • accelerates wound healing

      • suppresses tumor growth

      • protects against cataracts

      • suppresses the symptoms of type II diabetes

      • suppresses the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis

      • suppresses the development of thrombosis

      • suppresses the symptoms of multiple sclerosis

      • suppresses the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease

      • keeps cholesterol levels within healthy limits

Recipe for the preparation of "golden" milk

      Products for the turmeric paste:

      • half a cup of filtered water

      • 1/4 cup turmeric powder

      • A pinch of ground black pepper

      Instructions:

Combine the ingredients in a small saucepan, cook over medium heat and stir until the mixture becomes a thick paste. Allow to cool and store in the refrigerator.

Products for the preparation of "golden" milk:

      • 1 cup coconut or almond milk

      • 1/4 tsp. turmeric paste

      • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil

      • honey, to taste

Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan, except the honey.

Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, but do not let it boil.

After removing it from the heat and letting it cool a little, add honey to taste and enjoy the benefits of this Golden drink.

Turmeric is extremely useful, but like everything else there is another, dangerous side...

The spice, in addition to the preparation of "golden" milk, is also used in many dishes. It surely has many useful qualities, but although it is a natural product, turmeric can also be toxic - only in certain categories of people.

Turmeric does not cause significant side effects, however, there are people who experience nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, and stomach problems after consuming foods with turmeric. If we combine curcumin with black pepper, it can cause changes in the blood so always be careful when you choose your own remedies and their doses, and consult with a specialist.
