Wisdom From the East

By Adi Andreeva

"The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-knowledge has no end - you don't come to an achievement, you don't come to a conclusion. It is an endless river."

It is no coincidence that the most long-lived people live in eastern countries. These are people who are famous for their wisdom, modesty and purity of thoughts. It is not fiction that the health of our body depends on the health of the soul and mind. If our soul is calm, if our mind is clear, if our heart is free, the body will be healthy.

Here are the main 7 rules for purity of soul, conscience and mind coming from the East:

For the "Cleanliness of hands" - not to take anything superfluous or anything that belongs to someone else. If all or part of the money was not intended for you or you acquired it fraudulently, it will become the cause of the appearance of parasites in your body and problems in your life. Donate a portion of your income to people in need.

For the "Cleanliness of the ears" - not to listen to the words of frightened, embittered and vain people. Protect your hearing from profanity, gossip and meaningless talk.

For the "Cleanliness of the mouth" - to beware of excessive verbiage and obscene language. Evil notes in the speech can greatly pollute the body and life. Remember that silence can be golden.

"The Cleanliness of body and clothes" - to keep our body and clothes clean. Take care of your appearance so that you are pleasant to look at.

"For the "Purity of thoughts" - we should free ourselves from negativity and bad thoughts. Stop feeling sorry for oneself. Don't blame or punish yourself. Encourage yourself instead for bright endeavors. Make room for positive and creative ideas.

For the "Purity of the soul and heart" - to listen to our soul urges and emotional impulses. Keep them and don't suppress them.

Your soul is the purest and most sacred thing you possess, so don't ignore its desires.

If you are guided by your soul "hints" in life, you will follow the most correct possible path.

Love and ask for nothing in return, because love itself is your journey through Life…

Everyone follows their own path, their dreams, their personal destiny. Love won't save you if you don't want to be saved. Don't let others decide your destiny, make decisions about your life. You have to take responsibility for yourself. To be able to do that, don't count on only love to save you if you can't responsibly make the decision to "save yourself" and live a longer, happier life.

"When I understand myself, I understand you, and out of that understanding comes love. Love is the missing factor; there is a lack of affection, of warmth in a relationship; and because we lack that love, that tenderness, that generosity, that mercy in a relationship, we escape into mass action which produces further confusion, further misery. We fill our hearts with blueprints for world reform and do not look to that one resolving factor which is love."
