Carrot soup - ingenious in its simplicity and effectiveness discovery. 

At the time when Dr. Moreau practiced medicine, infant mortality was a major and very big problem. A problem that is also associated with lower life expectancy compared to today. It was a problem for the children not only to appear in this world, but also to live to adulthood.

Moreau discovered lactobacilli and their benefits to the human body. He first invented the sterilized baby bottle and invented a formula for artificial feeding. therefore, it is not without reason that we can say that Ernst Moreau is a pioneer in pediatrics and a specialist to whom today's mothers owe a lot. That is why it is good, at least from a general culture, to know who Dr. Ernst Moreau is and what he has done to save children's lives.

In 1908, Moreau made one of his most important discoveries, which has been relevant for more than a century.

At that time the infant mortality rate was 25-30%. This means that about 25 children out of 100 have not lived to be one year old. The main reason was often banal diarrhea. Dr. Moreau proposed a solution to the problem with the simplest recipe, thanks to which this figure was halved - a simple carrot soup.

The recipe is simple.

Boil the carrots until well softened. They are made into a puree, boiled water is added to make a cream soup. Very little salt can be added to taste. no fat or other spices are added.

It was only in 2002 that it became possible to explain the miraculous power of this soup.

The acidic oligosaccharides contained in the soup (in particular - in carrots) prevent the appearance of bacteria that remain in the lining of the stomach. 

Another study shows that such soup treats even diarrhea that is resistant to antibiotics.

Carrots are a real storehouse of nutrients. They are rich in vitamins A, C, E, D, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and carotene. Scientists have found that regular use of carrots helps prevent cancer. Also, they contain a lot of fiber, and thus remove toxins from the intestines. Therefore, this simple, in its composition and performance, soup does not lose its significance even today.
