In spring, when Nature wakes up from winter sleep, many people feel exhausted, but luckily we can use different herbs against spring fatigue. Such as dandelion, nettle and wild garlic.

As we already know the benefits of the nettles and dandelions here is the wild winner for every Spring 🌱

Our ancestors already understood that spring herbs contain vitamins and minerals that relieve spring fatigue and help detoxify, stimulate the body and strengthen the immune system.

Why do you suffer from spring fatigue?

At the beginning of the spring season, when nature awakens to new life, instead of feeling energetic, we feel tired and exhausted. Have you ever wondered what the reason is?

When the day gets longer, the body must switch from the increased production of the sleep hormone - melatonin, to the release of the "activity" hormone - serotonin. This cannot happen overnight, which is why we are experiencing spring fatigue.

To help us readjust and balance our hormones, it's good to stock up on vitamins and minerals, which are quite depleted after the winter months.

If you haven't tried levurda (wild garlic), you need to correct this mistake.

In addition to the undeniable benefits and placing wild garlic among the most useful herbs against spring fatigue for me it also wins with its exceptional taste.

Wild garlic contains a lot of vitamin C, iron and essential oils. It has a detoxifying effect and helps to overcome spring fatigue. An interesting fact is that already in the Roman Empire, wild garlic was used to purify the blood and to treat skin rashes and lichen.

This amazing herb fights harmful intestinal bacteria without affecting the beneficial ones, it also acts as an antiparasitic.

It can be used after antibiotic treatment to improve the condition of the intestinal flora.

How to consume wild garlic?

The ways to add it to the list of anti-spring fatigue herbs are endless. Here are some of them:

The leaves of the herb can be added to a homemade spice mix.

Fresh wild garlic leaves go well with any salad.

We can use it to make delicious garlic butter. For this purpose, it is only necessary to add finely chopped leaves of the herb to cow's butter or ghee.

Wild garlic also makes wonderful sauces.

Wild Garlic Pesto recipe: (you will love it)

  • 150 g of wild garlic
  • 50 g Parmesan
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Zest and juice of ½ lemon
  • 50 g of roasted pine nuts
  • 150 ml extra virgin olive oil

Grind the wild garlic leaves, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, lemon zest and nuts into a paste using a food processor or blender.

Season to taste with salt and ground black pepper. We continue blending on the lowest level of the device, during which time almost the entire amount of olive oil is poured in a thin stream.

Finally, add the lemon juice and transfer to a jar. Cover with the remaining oil and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Pesto can be used to flavor salads, meat, and it is a tasty spread for freshly baked bread.

It is worth it to have wild garlic on your table every spring 🌱
